By grand-ducal regulation of 9 June 2021, the "Nommerlayen" area, located on the territories of the municipalities of Nommern and Larochette and covering a total of 142 hectares, has been declared a protected area of national interest in the form of a natural reserve. Most of these 142 hectares are part of FDC's global forestry portfolio.
